A couple weeks ago, my better half, Jason Filipow, aka JRF, was invited to participate in a typography show at a clothing store in Los Angeles, Rodan vs. Griffith.  After finishing up the movie poster for Death Bowl to Downtown, skateboarding documentary about the evolution of skateboarding in NY, he was definitely inspired to do some art work.  Here’s a sneak piece of his type piece.

Come by the group show opening this Friday, May 30th.  I haven’t been to the shop yet, but am always willing to expand my database of cool shopping locales.  Seems like a healthy list of artists, illustrators, and designers in the show as well.  And if that hasn’t convinced you, I think there’s free drinks.
